MAR Monthly Report: August 2010

August 2010 Data Loads:

Dataset Numbers:

• Addresses: 142,427
• Residential Units: 199,672
• Aliases: 5,590
• Street Name Aliases: 1,055
• Intersections: 17,714
• Blocks: 15,830
• Address / SSL Cross Reference: 235,969

• The 'RECCOMENDED' STATUS in the MAR Address Records has been removed. The ‘RECOMMENDED’ status for addresses in the MAR is obsolete. This is because DC GIS no longer sends over an employee to DCRA to recommend addresses. A DCRA employee has taken over this function and when the employee assigns (approves) an address, it will be entered into the MAR with a status of 'ASSIGNED''

• Thousands of Residential Units (apartment numbers) have been added to the MAR. Most of this data came via a shared project with the Postal Service called the County Project. It is estimated that the Residential Unit table now contains about 97% of all secondary residential addresses in DC.

• Post Office locations have been updated in the MAR.
